1. Infographic/ Visual Book Summary
Here's a Visual Book summary of 30 days Change your habits, change your life by Marc Reklau.
This is not my usual genre. This book was a gift & gladly so. A simple, easy to interpret self help book, in similar lines as Hooked, Atomic Habits etc. For me, most of the content was familiar. What differed was how each of these authors put forth their perspectives, given the content similarity. Nothing to take away from the success of the book.
2. Graphic Recording
Nathan SV is a name known to many in the HR & Consulting space. His narratives are more than stories, they are catalysts for personal growth. His Office Truths are a much needed daily dose of reminders for the HR fraternity.
Sharing my Graphic Recording of his recent TED Talk on the topic 'Stories matter & how' - where he shares some inspiring stories from his journey & how some of his values are deep rooted in these very stories. The emotional undercurrent of each is palpable.
I am left with this reflection that we often assume Storytelling needs to be 'taught' but reality is Storytelling needs to be 'felt' & needs to come straight from the heart. Storytelling then becomes a collection of 'felt' experiences, our ability to 'tune into' them & 'value' their impact on us. Stories shape our Identity. This talk is a a brilliant reminder.
3. Snippets from recent Visual Collaborations
3.a) Early last month, I had the opportunity of Live Graphic Recording for Gyanodaya - the Corporate Learning University of Aditya Birla Group. It was enriching to witness & visually capture real-time the energetic interactions between the Leaders, Groups CEOs and CHROs. The scribes created of each session were shared with the leaders immediately post the event as a reckoner of the groups way forward.
I may not be able to share all the scribes here as the content is integral to the organization, however, happy to share one with consent. You will find some more snippets on my LinkedIn if interested.
3.b) In my association with Asia Organization Development Network (AODN), I do Remote Graphic Recording of their Virtual OD Exchange sessions with some eminent thought leaders from across the globe. My Graphic Recording summarizes the essence of the entire talk by the respective speakers, which is then shared with OD, HR Community for knowledge assimilation & retention. They also use the visual on Social media as a means to build awareness & provide open access to such knowledge sharing sessions.
The last session was on '𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔: 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒆𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔' by Sreejith Sreedharan. Sreejith spoke about how AI in HR embodies the spirit of hyper-personalization, how AI is set to revolutionize the fundamental aspects of employee experience in the workplace. He spoke about how the collaboration between humans & technology is entering an exhilarating phase, accelerating human progress. He shared a lot of research insights as well in his enriching session. I have captured the rest in the GR below.
4. Meditation Doodles
This is from my doodle book and is a paper-pen version. So pardon the aesthetics. While I was doodling this fractal of a leaf, I was reminded of this quote “Synchronicity is an ever present reality for those who have eyes to see it”. - Carl Jung
5. Calvin and Hobbes
Even Calvin seems ever prepared to embrace change, knowing that its the only constant :)
Synopsis: This edition focused on the theme Change. The book recommendation, the visuals shared were all around the themes of Change & growth, of honing ourselves & staying relevant. Hope you found this edition valuable. See you in the next edition!
